Tunisia Cultural Week Begins in Beijing

The Tunisia Cultural Week began in Beijing on June 7 with the opening of a comprehensive arts exhibition. Also featuring Tunisian folk dances and movies, the cultural week will show to Chinese audiences the natural scenery and social customs of Tunisia as well as the development of Tunisian arts in recent years.

Pan Zhenzhou, Chinese vice minister of culture, said that the cultural week will turn a new page in the exchange of culture between China and Tunisia, and will help increase understanding and friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

Tunisian Minister of Culture Abdelbaki Hermassi said Tunisia will have more friendly exchanges with China in the new century, and is ready to enhance the bilateral relationship through cultural exchanges.

The Tunisian artists will also give their performances in northeast China's Changchun and Shenyang cities.
