Tourism Festival at East China Attraction

A three-day festival started on Monday to promote tourism at a tourist attraction in east China's scenic Zhejiang Province.

The attraction is Fenghua city's Xikou Town, hometown of the late Kuomintang leader Chiang Kai-shek.

The festival also features local Buddhist culture and unique folkway and customs, a total of 15 activities.

Xikou is also known for the Mount Xuedou where the Xuedou Buddhist Temple is located. A consecration ceremony will be held for the 1,000 newly moulded bronze statues of Future Buddhas and 2, 000 amulets will be given to visitors.

An international seminar on Future Buddhas culture will be held during the ceremony, organizers said.
