Myanmar Leader Begins China Visit
Maung Aye, vice-chairman of the State Peace and Development Council of Myanmar, arrived Monday for an official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Vice-President Hu Jintao.
June 8 will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Myanmar. In addition to meeting Chinese leaders, Maung Aye will also attend activities in commemoration of the anniversary during his visit.
