First Academy of Tibetan Literary Theory Established

The Academy of Tibetan Literary Theory was established on Friday in this Chinese autonomous region in the southwest.

The academy was sponsored by the Cultural Department of the Tibet Autonomous Region and the autonomous region's Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

Experts pointed out that the academy will help chronicle the development of Tibetan literature and art since the 1980s when China initiated its reform and opening-up drive, as well as promote and develop literary talent in Tibet.
