Indian President Visits China's Yunnan ProvinceIndian President Kocheril Raman Narayanan said in Kunming on Friday evening that there's potential to explore and develop cooperation between India and China's Yunnan Province.The visiting Indian President told Governor Li Jiating of south- west China's Yunnan Province that there is broad cooperative prospects in fields such as high-technology, software, and mineral processing. He said Yunnan is close to India both geographically and culturally, and there are long-term economic and cultural contacts between them. Governor Li extended a warm welcome to the president, explaining the rich natural and cultural resources in the province. He also voiced the hope that cooperation would be further developed in the transportation, tourist and mineral industries. Narayanan arrived in Kunming on Thursdasy evening from Dalian. He visited different tourist spots in Kunming and held discussions with local scholars Friday.
