China Launches Free Dental Check-up Program

Children in Beijing, Shanghai and six other major cities in China will get free oral examinations and dental consultations Friday and Saturday, CRI reported on June 1.

The dental care program, sponsored by the China Professional Oral Care Center, is being held to celebrate International Children' s Day.

The activities also mark the launch of a nationwide program to raise public awareness of the importance of dental care.

Three dental-health promotion vehicles will leave Shanghai on July 15 and tour 12 provinces and municipalities. They are scheduled to arrive in Beijing on September 20, National Day for Tooth Protection.
