International Children's Day Marked in DPRKA national meeting was held at People's Palace of Culture in Pyongyang today to commemorate the 50th anniversary of International Children's Day which falls on June 1.Chon Yon Ok, chairwoman of the central committee of the Korean Democratic Women's Union, delivered a report at the meeting. Among those present at the meeting were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly and alternate politburo member of the Central Committee of the Worker's Party of Korea, Kim Jung Rin, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, and others, wives of foreign diplomats here and foreign women. After the meeting an art performance was given by kindergartners in Pyongyang. |
