The fourth national notary examination is scheduled to be held this September. There will be 13 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions nationwide which will advertise for more outstanding personnel to join the notary ranks, according to Legal Daily. Statistics show that a total number of 13,332 people have signed up for the exam, making a record high since 1992 when this examination system was introduced by the Ministry of Justice. Among them 3,135 persons come from various social sectors, accounting for 23.5 percent of the total.

At the same time, requirements for applicants' academic credentials are also raised, in order to admit more competent people, who know Law, Economics and foreign languages, into the notary ranks.
