Three Universities Merge in Southwest China

The new Chongqing University was set up in Chongqing Wednesday by merging three local universities.

The new university has more than 40,000 students and staff members. It offers 52 undergraduate courses, 57 master degree and 27 doctor degree courses.

The multi-discipline university was set up by merging Chongqing University, Chongqing Architecture University and Chongqing Construction College.
