TV Documentary A Children's Day Gift
A TV documentary sponsored by the National Children's Work Coordinating Committee has been created as a gift to mark the 50th birthday of the Chinese Young Pioneers and the upcoming June 1 Children's Day.
The documentary, titled Star and Torch, looks back on the development of the Chinese scouts group and eulogizes the outstanding young pioneers who participated in the group over the decades.
Making use of a large amount of historical material, the program demonstrates the great attention paid to the organization by three generations of leadership of the Communist Party of China led by Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin, respectively. The TV documentary is being issued by the Henan Provincial Educational Audiovisual Publishing House.
