Shanghai Initiates On-line Freight Transactions

An on-line banking service was launched in Shanghai Tuesday for on-line international freight transactions.

By using a special card jointly issued by the COSCO Shanghai International Freight Co. Ltd., and the Shanghai Branch of the China Everbright Bank, one can conveniently pay international freight fees, a source from the COSCO Shanghai International Freight Co. Ltd. said.

According to the source, this is the first time a Chinese international freight enterprise will employ this method of doing business.
