Social Scientific Publishing Houses Cooperate for Greater Market Share

The four publishing houses under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) recently collaborated to gain a greater share of the market.

Social Sciences Publishing House, Social Scientific Documentation Publishing House, Economic Management Publishing House, and Local Records Publishing House announced the formation of a publishing commission for mutual business coordination.

The four publishing houses annually produce many academic works by CASS experts and scholars, with good economic and social results.

However, a CASS official said they lacked the exchange and cooperation necessary to further their expansion.

According to the official, the commission will effectively allocate personnel and other publication resources among the four publishers, who will employ a uniform CASS brand for their products.
