China Art Gallery Exhibits Kids' Paintings
The China Art Gallery opened an exhibition today displaying 200 paintings by more than 60 children from a school in east China's Jiangsu Province.
These paintings, created by students from 4 to 11 years old at the Xuzhou Jinshanqiao boarding school, have won many state-level and even world-level kid painting awards for the school.
An official with the Ministry of Education who attended Tuesday's opening ceremony pointed out that it is encouraging to see the development of quality-oriented education with art education as a starting point.
Some Chinese artists say that though these paintings are not very mature, they vividly show the children's love for nature and their motherland.
