Shanghai Reports Soaring Export of Color TV Sets
Shanghai exported 35,000 color TV sets in the first four months of this year, soaring by 18.4 times on an annual basis, according to the latest statistics.
The export of color TV sets accounted for more than one fifth of Shanghai's total exports of TV sets while 20-inch color TV sets have witnessed the fastest growth in export.
All the TV sets were exported by State-owned enterprises in the city. Shanghai, a TV set production base with a long history, has revitalized the industry by upgrading its technology.
Shanghai's TV sets are exported to 31 countries and regions, mainly in Asia, North America and Africa.
