Children's TV Program to Be Aired On International Children's Day

A 12-hour TV program specially designed for children called "Our Century" will go to air on June 1, International Children's Day on Central China TV Station (CCTV).

CCTV-1, will broadcast the children's series from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the day. The three-part series targets children aged between three and seventeen.

Games, special reports, cartoons, musicals, popular science and celebrations will be on show together with a live broadcast from Shanghai, southwest China's Sichuan Province and other parts of the country. Children reporters from across country will join the show.

The evening performance will be the centerpiece of the show. It includes "Gathering in Beijing", "Our Grandparents' Childhood", " Our Childhood" and "Our Future".

The 12-hour show aims to give children the chance to learn about history and explore opportunities in the future, according to the show's producer.
