New Central China Science And Technology University Established
The new Central China Science and Technology University was established May 26.
The new university consists of the former Central China University of Science and Engineering, Tongji Medical Sciences University, Wuhan Urban Construction College, and Wuhan Science and Technology Workers' University.
The new university has nine science departments, 62 specialties, 124 stations for post-graduates, 67 for doctorates, and 13 for post-doctorates. The new university also has three state engineering research centers, five key state laboratories, and a group of Sino-foreign research centers.
The university has a faculty of over 10,000 and more than 33, 000 students, including 4,900 postgraduates.
