Chinese Scientists Develop Cells Killing Tumor
Chinese scientists announced that they have developed cells which produce and secrete immune toxin to effectively kill tumor cells.
Scientists from the Fourth Medical University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army developed the cells by using genetic recombination technology.
Through years of research, professor Yang Angang and his colleagues found that T Lymphocytes can produce and secrete immune toxins, while at the same time the growth and function of such cells remains normal.
Based on this discovery, they developed the HER-2 antibody which can distinguish cancer genes together with the PE40 genes and thus develop immune toxic genes.
They said that such cells can live inside the body for several months and can circulate and root at the lymph nodes.
Hospitals in east China's Zhejiang Province are expected to use the cells on a trial basis soon.
