International Household Appliances Exhibition Opens

The four-day Household Electrical Appliance 2000 Exhibit opened on May 25, attracting more than 100 companies from eleven countries and regions.

Jointly sponsored by the China Household Electrical Appliance Association (CHEAA) and the China International Trade Center, the exhibition focuses on introducing the latest household appliances to Chinese families.

Along with traditional appliances such as TVs, refrigerators, and washing machines, some new products and services including computers and e-commerce facilities, are also on display.

This is the fifth exhibition and the largest of its kind in the country, according to the CHEAA.

Seminars on the industry's participation in environmental protection and e-commerce will also be held during the exhibit.
