Dalian to Host Intl. Art Exp.
The 2000 Dalian Art Exposition will be held in August in this coastal city of northeast China's Liaoning Province.
On display during the exposition, sponsored by the Chinese Artists' Association and the city's federation of literary and art circles, will be an abundance of art works from galleries in a dozen countries and regions, including China, the United States, France, Italy and Russia.
The exposition will feature traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, prints, handicrafts, pottery, calligraphic works, and sculpture, said a local cultural official. A series of art seminars, contests and exhibitions will also be held during the event.
