Sun Yat-sen Exhibition in Shanghai

An exhibition featuring relations between the city of Shanghai and revolutionary forerunner Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925) is now being held in the east China metropolis.

Titled "Dr. Sun Yat-sen and Shanghai," the exhibition at the memorial hall in Sun's former residence displays 116 historical photographs and 28 historical objects, most of which have never before been shown to the public.

The historical objects and documents reflect detailed information on Sun's life and revolutionary experiences in Shanghai, where he spent most of his time after the revolution of 1911 -- the Chinese bourgeois democratic revolution led by Sun which overthrew the Qing Dynasty.

Some of the objects on display include Sun's name card, seal and envelopes, a walking stick, and a telescope used by Sun.
