90 Percent Of Obese Children Suffer from Fatty Liver

A survey has shown that as high as 90 percent of obese children in this north China's port city suffer from fatty liver disease.

The survey on the relationship between blood pressure, blood fat and fatty liver was carried out by the Tianjin Aimin Weight Reduction Hospital.

The survey on 1,200-plus obese children revealed that the blood fat level in these children is much higher than other children of the same age. Thirty-five percent of the rather fat children suffer from high blood pressure.

In China, incidence of animal fat stored in the fatty tissue of the body among Chinese children is on rise. Experts said most parents think that the more their children eat the better. However, they do not realize what harm this is doing on their children, experts said.

Experts concluded that the children's liver cells become fatty because they absorb too much nutrition.

Experts also warned that high blood pressure and blood fat are dangerous signals of fatty liver among obese children.
