Tianjin to Hold Intl. Children's Culture and Art Festival
This north China port city will host an international children's culture and art festival from August 5 through 10.
The municipal government of Tianjin and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) are organizers of the festival. The theme of the event is peace, friendship and the future.
Over 1,200 children worldwide will attend the festival, and some 30 children's art troupes from a dozen countries and regions, including China, the United States, Russia and Japan, will stage various performances during the six-day event.
An international children's painting exhibition is also scheduled.
