Export & Import Fair Opens in Northeast Port City
A major export and import fair opened Tuesday in the scenic coastal city of Dalian in northeast China's Liaoning Province.
Specializing mainly in machinery, electronics products, and chemical products, the fair has attracted 347 enterprises across the nation, including 40 foreign-funded ventures.
More than 2,000 overseas businessmen and 40 trade delegations from Australia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea and the United States are expected to participate in the fair.
First held in 1987, the Dalian Export & Import Fair was the first regional trade fair in China.
This year's fair will also feature trade talks, products promotional activities, and a symposium on helping Chinese enterprises tap into the European market. The fair is scheduled to close on May 28.
