First Book on Uruguay Round Agreement Published in China

The Chinese edition of "The Guide to Uruguay Round Agreement", the first book ever compiled by the World Trade Organization (WTO), was recently published in Beijing.

The book designed to offer a comprehensive introduction to the Uruguay round agreements provides the contents of all the agreements as well as relevant background information. It also contains experts' analysis on the agreements and their significance on global trade.

The holding of the Uruguay round talks finally led to the birth of the WTO. Thus the Uruguay round agreements have formed the basis for WTO agreements.

Such agreements reached after the founding of the WTO such as information technology, financial service and telecommunications are also provided in the book.
