China Concerned about Israeli-Palestinian Conflicts
China is deeply concerned about and regrets the conflict and bloodshed in Gaza and the West Bank and subsequent tension between Israel and Palestine, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue Tuesday at a regular press conference.
The Chinese government has always believed that comprehensive peace in the Middle East not only serves the interests of the people of various countries in the region, but is conducive to the peace and stability of the world, she said. "We hope that parties concerned will take measures as soon as possible to relieve the tension so that early progress can be made in the Middle East peace talks."
