Exposition of NATO Aggression on Yugoslavia Opens in Zambia
The exposition of NATO aggression on Yugoslavia was opened in Zambia on Friday. About 100 pictures and a multi-media-film named "Aggression on Yugoslavia" are shown at the one-week exposition.
At the opening ceremony of the exposition named "We are All Targets", Yugoslav Charge d'Affaires Dusan Zupan said the purpose of this exhibition is to make closer to the Zambian public what really happened in Yugoslavia one year ago.
The biggest military force ever launched attack on a small sovereign European state on March 24, 1999. In the operation, NATO dropped 23,500 missiles out of 1,200 airplanes and killed 2,500 people.
Zupan said that China, Russia, India and many other countries including African countries, raised their voice to condemn the NATO aggression.
"We are very grateful to all these countries that defended not only our right to preserve our territorial integrity, but also the right of all countries to have peace, to be spared of domination and hegemony," he said.
More than 100 diplomats from some 25 countries, including Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Peng Keyu, attended the opening ceremony.
