Beijing Mayor Welcomes U.S. Accountants

Beijing welcomes overseas accountants to develop business here and cooperate with Chinese high-tech enterprises, said Beijing Mayor Liu Qi on May 19 in his meeting with Dennis Wu, a partner in the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (DTT) accounting firm in the United States.

Liu Qi said that Beijing is paying more attention to hi-tech industries and focusing on the construction of the Zhongguancun Scientific Park, which welcomes the participation of overseas companies, including DTT and other accounting firms.

Dennis Wu said that the purpose of his visit is to seek cooperation with hi-tech companies in Beijing, especially in the field of financing.

DTT is listed among one of the world top five accounting organizations, providing management consultation, accounting, and auditing services. It has a staff of more than 90,000
