Difference Between Men and Women in Education Level Shortened
Difference between men and women in education level has been shortened in recent years.This is reflected in the overall improvement of education quality of women.
Figures show that adult men and women have had a different education length from 1995's 1.7 to 1998's 1.5 years. By the end of 1998, the number of women had a 0.6 percentage point increase in education length over 0.4 percentage point in 1995. Schoolgirls had an enrolment of as much high as 98.8%, with a dropout of merely 1.4%, 0.6 percentage point less than 1995. Primary and middle schoolgirls were noted to have a 0.3 and 0.9 percentage point rise in number respectively over 1995. College and university girl students increased 2.9 percentage points over 1995.
