Enterprises in Shenyang Build "Garden-Style Factories"
Nowadays, factories are colorfully decorated by flowerbeds, fountains, trees and meadows in the Tiexi Industrial District where industrial enterprises are comparatively concentrated in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province. The activity of building "Garden-Like Factories" has beautified over 100 big and middle-sized state-owned enterprises.
In the past, the dirty, disorderly manufacturing environment in most of the enterprises gave people a very bad impression. In recent years, these enterprises have invested a total of 20,630,000 yuan to afforest and beautify the factory areas. At present, 103 big and medium-sized state-owned enterprises have, to different degrees, carried out the activity of building "Garden-Type Factories" and 72 of them have planted trees, flowers and grasses, built flowerbeds, fountains and pavilions, beautified traffic signs, street lamps and walls and surfaced the roads with asphalt, cement, or plastic cement, and with cement bricks on sidewalks in factory areas.
