Film Reception Marks 110th Birthday of Late Vietnamese Leader
The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) held a film reception Thursday to mark the 110th birthday of Ho Chi Minh, the later state leader of Vietnam.
Su Guang, vice-president of the CPAFFC, said that Ho Chi Minh, who fostered friendship between China and Vietnam together with late Chairman Mao Zedong and other late Chinese leaders, was a close friend of the Chinese people.
He said that the peoples of the two countries will carry out the behest of the elder generation of their leaders and continue their friendship from generation to generation.
Qi Huaiyuan, president of the CPAFFC, Bui Hong Phuc, Vietnamese ambassador to China, and nearly one hundred other people from China and Vietnam attended the reception and saw a film about the life of Ho Chi Minh.
