Shanghai Airlines will open a regular air service on May 19 between this metropolis in east China and Phnom Penh in Cambodia.
Shanghai Airlines has signed an agreement with Royal Air Cambodia to jointly operate on the air route.
Both sides believed that the service will greatly enhance economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries, and promote the development of Cambodia's tourism, trade and aviation industry.
It is the first time for Shanghai Airlines to open a regular international air service. The airline, established in 1985, inaugurated Shanghai-Macao service and over 100 domestic routes with its 14 Boeing airliner fleet.
