Hannover Confident in China's Insurance Development

The Hannover Reinsurance Group, a German insurance company, hopes to increase cooperation with China in developing the nation's insurance business, according to company chairman Wilhelm Zeller.

He said earlier this week that the sooner China's insurance business is developed, the better the cooperation will be between the two sides.

China has great market potential for life insurance and non-life-insurance owing to the rapid development of Chinese people's living standards. Hannover has established good relations with China's insurance sector, especially the state-owned enterprises. Zeller also expressed his confidence in China's insurance growth after its entrance into the World Trade Organization (WTO).
