Credit Card Issued to Mark 2000 Olympic Games

The Guangdong Development Bank (GDB) Tuesday issued a set of credit cards in Shanghai to mark the 2000 Olympic Games.

Xia Xiaohua, head of the Shanghai branch of the GDB, said that authorized by the VISA International Group and the Organizing Committee of the 27th Olympic Games, the cards have the symbol and emblem of the upcoming Olympic Games on them.

The cards are delicately designed, with laser anti-forgery serial numbers on the front side. The cards are of three kinds, for use with the Chinese yuan, Hong Kong dollar, and U.S. dollar, and 9,999 of each will be issued.

The cards for the Hong Kong dollar is specially designed for those who frequently travel between the mainland and Hong Kong.
