Hong Kong's Entrepot Trade Surges in First Quarter
Latest Statistics show that Hong Kong's entrepot Trade surged by a big margin in March, showing a net value of HK$108.2 billion, up 27.1 percent over the same period last year. Meanwhile, Hong Kong has had a total of US$ 14.5 billion of export value created, up 21.5 percent; and HK$136.4 billion from its imports, up 25.9 percent over the same period last year.
The values of entrepot products directed toward different regions from Hong Kong see an all-round two-digital growth and this is as shown by 53.2 percent growth to ROK, Germany, 49.3 percent, UK, 36.2 percent, China's mainland, 20.6 percent, and Taiwan, 27.1 percent respectively.
