Aimed at arousing people's awareness of protecting the environment, a series of activities for Environmental Protection Month began in Guangzhou, HongKong, Macao, Shenzhen, and Zhuhai, all located along the Zhujiang River Delta in south China.
During the month, communities, schools, and enterprises will receive free film tapes and TV series focusing on environmental protection, partially provided by the United Nations, the U.S., Britain, Germany, and Canada.
Youngsters are being called upon to take part in these activities by creating paintings and writing articles on environmental protection.
