University Sets up International Relations College
The People's University of China, a prestigious Beijing-based university known for its research in the humanities, recently set up an international relations institute.
The institute, an outgrowth of the former International Relations Department, and the East Europe and Central Asia Studies Institute of the university, will offer a comprehensive curriculum. It boasts outstanding teaching and research staff.
The two predecessors are well-known in their fields, and have fostered numerous high-level diplomats, officials and scholars.
The new institute, with a faculty of 61 including 22 professors and 22 associate professors, has so far enrolled 416 students.
