Guangxi Cadres Experiencing Grassroots Level LifeTo go to work, conduct research, know things well and solve problems at the grassroots level to carry forward the revolutionary tradition has already been promoted on a local scale among cadres in Guangxi. As a policy measure in building up a fine detachment of revolutionary functionaries during the new period, it has won much praise among local farmers in the region.A system has established that each cadre must choose a local farmhouse to live together with farmers for 3-5 days every quarter. With this, they are required to help solve various problems as lack of funds, problems relating to material supply and tech difficulties arising from farming. Meanwhile, solutions need to be found to disputes among farmers through their mediation. Furthermore, each cadre has to submit a research report and a work list. Fusui County is an example in case, cadres have been among more than 4000 farmhouses, with over 700 demands and suggestions having been raised from the farmers and over 110 problems solved on the spot. During the activities, special attention has also been paid not to increasing farmers' burden in various places for cadres' life provision and problems as of luggage, money, food supply and other life necessities. |
