Shenzhen Sets up Office in Germany

The Special Economic Zone in South China has set up a business office in Germany to improve economic cooperation with countries in the European Union (EU).

A local official said that the EU has become a major source of investment in Shenzhen, adding that 13 out of the fifteen EU member countries have invested in areas such as electronics and bio-engineering.

Shenzhen has approved 232 projects from EU countries so far and utilized US$1.47 billion of investment.
