CASS to Beef up Research on Taiwan Issue

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) will drum up research on Taiwan issue in an effort to provide worthy policies and suggestions for the CPC Central Committee, according to Wang Luolin, deputy chairman of the Academy.

Wang said that academic exchanges with Taiwan are an important part of the CASS's academic activities and the Academy will exert more efforts to beef up organization and guidance in exchanges with Taiwan.

Wang stressed that we must carefully study and grasp the government's spirit on Taiwan issue in a bid to unify our understanding and harmonize our pace.

Taiwan issue is a problem concerned with principle and of political significance in connection with China's reunification cause and thus the CASS will keep high consensus with the CPC Central Committee and fully implement policies stipulated by the government, he added.
