China to Hold Agricultural Fair in November in Shaanxi
A hi-tech and the 7th one of China, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Co-operation, the United Nations Development Program etc., the fair will be held on November 5-9 in Yangling, Shaanxi Province.
A press conference was called in Beijing today. Fan Xiaomei, a senior official from Shaanxi, said that the theme of the fair is to promote exchange of and display agricultural hi-tech products and raise the competitiveness of China's agricultural products on the world market following the west development strategy of the central authorities and the State Council.
To represent at the fair can both be by individuals or in the capacity of groups; 1,000 display stands will be offered. It seeks to turn advanced tech achievements into products through attracting investments, orders, technology training, exchanges and displays on the Internet, and calling hi-tech forum as well. In recent two years, the Yangling demonstration zone of hi-tech industries has strengthened its infrastructure construction, with an investment of 770 million yuan made. Run with 200 registered enterprises and 112 projects, the zone has set itself up as a key demonstration area of west development in China.
