China's Haier Refrigerators Selling in 100 Countries
With the first batch of Haier refrigerators arriving in Ukraine recently, China's Haier refrigerators are now being sold in 100 countries and regions around the world.
According to the Haier Group, China's major home appliances manufacturer, it now has 469 specialty stores and over 36,000 outlets worldwide selling Haier refrigerators.
Haier refrigerators entered the United States, Germany, Britain, Japan, and other developed countries in 1990.
Prices for Haier refrigerators are similar to those of other international brands, breaking the tradition of lower prices for Chinese home appliances.
Last year, the number of Haier refrigerators exported to the United States and Europe surpassed the total number of home appliances produced in China by American and European enterprises, Haier said.
Haier refrigerators with a capacity under 200 liters made up over 25 percent of the market share in the United States last year, and in the first quarter this year, exports of Haier refrigerators more than doubled that of last year, the company said.
