China and Singapore Satisfied with Achievements in Suzhou Industrial Park
China and Singapore expressed their satisfaction over the achievements made in the Suzhou Industrial Park, the biggest project jointly launched by the governments of the two countries.
In a celebration of the 6th anniversary of the establishment of the Park held this evening, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Trade and Industry of Singapore said that the Park covers an area of 8 square kilometers and all of us are proud of the achievement.
Liang Baohua, secretary of the Suzhou municipal committee of the Chinese Communist Party, said that the Park has become one of the fastest growing development zones in China.
A total of 189 overseas-funded projects have been set up in the Park in the past 6 years, generating 7.04 billion US dollars into the local economy.
