Wei noted that bilateral relations have achieved overall development in political, economic, military and cultural fields since the two countries formally resumed diplomatic ties. He also mentioned President Abdurrahman Wahid's successful visit to China last year. It is in the interests of both peoples and for the benefit of peace and stability in the region and the world as a whole that both countries further their friendship and relations of cooperation, he stressed.
