Since its debut on May 4th the computer "Love Bug" virus has developed 19 new versions. Hu Yin, a computer expert advises on how to avoid the damage caused by the Love Bug. He says first if people have not installed anti-virus software in their computer, they should immediately delete any emails with unknown origin. He also suggests computer users install an anti-virus product to their computer and open the programme to ensure it works. Hu says people must remember to update their anti-virus software regularly to resist the new variations. So far hundreds of millions of computers worldwide have reportedly been infected by the Love Bug virus. But due to its relatively low-developed network, China has survived relatively unscathed by the Love Bug. The speed at which the Love Bug virus is spreading is quicker than Melissa, a virus that devastated computers worldwide last year.
