South Korea Supports North Korea's Application to Join the ARF
The DPRK has formally applied for membership to the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), the local media in Seoul report on May 11.
An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the
Republic of Korea
commented that the
South Korea
n government will throw its full support to North Korea's application to the ARF.
South Korea
is to send a delegation to the ARF Senior Officials Meeting(SOM) scheduled for May 18-19, the government is expected to make clear its position of supporting North Korea's membership.
