International Biotech Forum Opens in BeijingThe fourth Beijing Biotechnological and Pharmaceutical Forum opened on May 9.As a major part of the Beijing International High-Tech Industries Week, the forum attracted more than 300 Chinese and overseas medical experts and businesspeople. The four-day meeting is sponsored by the Beijing Promotion Center on Biotech and New Medicine Industry. Participants will discuss biotech developments in the health industry, intellectual property, information exchange and industrial management. The forum will focus on a human genome project, genetic therapy, cloning, trans-genetic technology and medical high-tech enterprises. Trade exchange activities will also be held.
