Fujian will stress implementing strategy of brands, giving prominence to five major brands of Wuyi Mountain, Meizhou Island, Gulangyu Island of Xiamen and Hui'an girl folklore of Quanzhou, which correspondingly constitute five large tour-economic spheres, so as to gradually build itself into a characteristic famous tourist area and a strong tourist province in China.
Fujian Province, located on the southeast coast of China, is rich in natural beauty and human resources. It has four state-level historical and cultural cities, two Chinese excellent tourist cities, two state-level tourist holiday resorts, nine scenic spots under State protection and three State-grade nature reserves. Its Wuyi Mountain was listed as World Natural and Cultural Heritage late last year.
At the same time, Fujian will carry out the work of assessing the quality of tour regions, rectify the tourist market, speed up the assessing of star hotels, intensify efforts for attracting investment, so as to boost its tourism as well as economy.
