Chinese Foreign Minister Arrives in Tokyo For Visit
Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan arrived in tokyo Wednesday for a four-day official visit at the invitation of the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
Tang, the first Chinese foreign minister to make an official visit to Japan since March 1996, is scheduled to hold talks with his Japanese counterpart Yohei Kono later in the day.
The two foreign ministers are expected to exchange views on a wide range of bilateral issues, as well as regional and international issues of common concern.
During the visit, Tang is also slated to meet Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori and leaders of Japan's six ruling and opposition parties.
