Large Insurance Company to Expand Business in West China
The China Pacific Insurance Company, one of the country's largest insurers based in Shanghai, will expand its business to the western part of China.
General Manager Wang Guoliang said that his company will set up branch offices in Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Qinghai and Tibet, as part of a national campaign to develop the western part of the country.
The company will provide different kinds of insurance services in west China in line with the demand, including life insurance, insurance for profit losses and insurance for cargo transport. Wang said that the development of west China will provide many opportunities for his company.
To date, the company has established business offices in seven provinces and cities in west China. Of its 70,000 employees, one seventh are working in the western part of the country.
