Chinese Vice-President Meets Angolan Visitor

Chinese Vice-President Hu Jintao told visiting Angolan Minister of Defense Kundy Payama Monday that China will always support the peace process in Angola.

Hu, also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission, said that China values its ties with Angola and believes that in the new century, cooperative relations between the two countries and two military forces will be furthered.

He also expressed his appreciation for Angola's adherence to the one China stance and consistent support of China on human rights issues.

Payama expressed thanks for China's support of his country, saying that Angola values its relations with China. His visit is aimed at consolidating the friendship between the two countries and two armies, he added.

He stressed that the Angolan government will firmly support China's reunification cause and will always adhere to the one China policy.
